Ayami in マチュピチュ！

マチュピチュ遺跡にて。ペルーのクスコから、マチュピチュを目指すトレッキングツアーに参加。高いところでは標高4600mを超えるなかなかタフなトレッキングコースですが、景色がもう最高です。雪を被った山々から、熱帯雨林のジャングルまで、アンデス山脈の様々な景色が楽しめます。歩くこと3日間、麓のマチュピチュ村に到着。翌朝は日が昇る前から遺跡をめがけて出発し、一時間かけて、あいにくの雨の中、遺跡へと続く階段をひたすら上り続けました。ようやく到着するも、雲がかかって何も見えない！そして待つこと数時間、ようやく壮大な遺跡が少し顔を出してくれた瞬間です。

From Cusco, Peru, I took a trekking tour to Machu Picchu. It’s kind of a tough trek where the highest point reaches over 4600m, but the view is truly amazing. You can see the typical Andean landscape from the snow-capped mountains down to the dense rainforests. After three days of walking, finally we reached Machupicchu Pueblo which is a tiny village at the foot of Machu Picchu. The next morning, we left the hotel before sunrise and went up the hundreds of stairs to the site in the rain. It took us about an hour, but when we got there, it was super cloudy so we couldn’t see anything! After waiting for a few hours, finally the magnificent ruins made a brief appearance.
