Stroller Shopping
So just before we did Charlie’s Omiya Mairi, we went shopping for a stroller for him. The store had so
many different types of strollers, which made choosing difficult. Along with a bunch of accessories, there
some baby dolls to test out the strollers. These ‘test’ baby dolls looked like they had been doing their job
for far too long. Maybe it’s time they moved onto a different job. What do you think?

The Purple Cow
One of the things I miss about my hometown Little Rock is the food, especially one of my favorite
restaurants, The Purple Cow. It’s a diner-style restaurant with a big dessert menu, and they’re most
famous for their purple milkshakes. But, don’t worry; it just tastes like normal vanilla! My family and
I went to The Purple Cow for birthdays, after my brother’s soccer games, or anytime we wanted a
cheeseburger or chicken sandwich. I just checked their website, and it looks like they’ve opened
three new restaurants since I moved to Japan; so you know its good food! Next time I go to the U.S.,
this is going to be one of the first places I go.

Playing pool
If you’re looking for a good way of keeping busy and avoiding crowds, how about playing pool? I used to play in a league in England and it’s a lot of fun.

Ningyocho Yamada
Last Saturday night, Nik and I were invited out to a Japanese
restaurant in Ningyocho called Ningyocho Yamada. The chef made a
special vegetarian course for me. It was fantastic. My favorite dish
was this one, a large grilled shiitake (I think??) mushroom, with
some atsuage tofu. Even though the dish sounds very simple, it was so
deep with flavor. I think the mushroom is the best one I have ever
eaten.

Exotic restaurant
This is an exotic restaurant in Nippori that I went to about a few weeks ago. Before going there, my friend told me there was an interesting place that I might be fascinated with. And yes!! She was right !! I absolutely loved this place. Not only did the atmosphere impress me but also I was quite satisfied with the amount of food! I can’t wait to go back there!

Ebigawa Cherry Blossoms
Most people don’t know about the cherry blossoms in Funabashi. If you’re looking for a place to see cherry blossoms that isn’t so crowded, Funabashi is your place. The first time I went there, I was so surprised by the hundreds of cherry blossom trees along the river. It’s beautiful during the day and as you can see in the picture, it’s very beautiful at night too.

Craney Day
It’s fun seeing these two huge cranes in action. They are working on a cool project next to Chiba Park. They’re replacing the bike racing track and the new one is going to be a dome! I can’t wait to see it! Are there any big construction projects happening around your house or office?
